The latest update sees updates across the modules that make up Synel’s Workforce Management platform and continues the strategy for deeper integration with third-party technology as well as introducing a host of features which brings added functionality to both new and existing users. Version 3.6.7 will be automatically pushed to all hosted SaaS customers or is available to download and deploy for customers who use on-premise architecture.

Gaurang Virgar, Product Manager for Synel UK, comments “Synel’s Workforce Management platform consists of various modules to provide a flexible and scalable solution for our customers across a wide range of applications including time & attendance, access control, visitor management, expenses management, and field-based team management to name a few. Whilst many of our customer’s workforce management needs to revolve around Time & Attendance (T&A) at their core, there is growing demand for having other areas of the platform available as standalone solutions, especially for Access Control and Visitor Management requirements.

Now customers can take advantage of either wrapping these additional modules around their core Synel T&A solution or deploy them as standalone. Regardless of how these are deployed, they all benefit from centralised updates that deliver new functionality and improvements over time, and each subsequent module that is added can be administered from a user-privilege controlled common Workforce Management interface.”

Synergy Visitor

Built from the ground up, Synergy Visitor is Synel’s brand new and highly featured visitor management solution is available in v3.6.7. Supplied as an iOS or Android App that can be loaded onto a visitor-facing tablet, it is easily managed and administered by authorised users of Synel’s back-office Workforce Management platform.

Features include the ability to ask any number of custom questions that need to be answered by visitors – such as if they have visited any other countries in the past weeks for coronavirus compliance checks, e-mail notifications to both visitors and hosts, plus a range of reporting options including producing a fire report. Synergy Access with ANPR

Integration with 4Sight’s leading Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system means that users of Synergy Access, Synel’s access control solution, can administer car number plates and access privileges from Synel’s Workforce Management platform’s back-end Graphical User Interface (GUI).

Timelog Web Time & Attendance

Form v3.6.7 Cost Centre coding for Timelog Web, Synel’s Time & Attendance solution, is included as standard. Cost Centre makes it possible to allocate employee costs to different sites and is automatically worked out from them clocking IN and clocking OUT at specific sites either from hardware clocking devices or via Synergy App, Synel’s iOS and Android application featuring geofencing to allow clocking IN/OUT as specific locations only.

Manual timesheet submission and approval has also been introduced which allows employees to submit timesheets via a GUI to their manager for approval and the system then gets updates as if it were collected automatically – removing the need for paper but bringing additional flexibility to the way some organisations operate.

In addition, changes to the Field Management module used by field-based employees via Synergy App include an ‘off-line’ mode, so information is stored locally on the device when connection is unavailable, such as an area with poor mobile data reception, and will automatically upload the information when the connection returns.
